Cougar Donut
in China Spring, Texas
Sometimes, all you need is just a really good donut.
I was tired. I was having a hard day at work and was starting to feel a little bit burnt out.
In between meetings and tasks, my brother and I went out for a donut at the nearby Cougar Donut, a local donut shop named after local high school team's mascot (and if you're wondering why one of the donuts is bright blue, it's also in honor of the Cougar's colors).

There was nothing special or fancy about the donut, but it was exactly what a donut should be, and 10 minutes later, I was already feeling a lot better.
The donut was soft and freshly made. It was just perfect!
I also ordered a kolache, an iconic Czech-Texas pastry stuffed with sausage and cheese, which was delicious as well. It's something that I always need to have whenever I'm back home in Texas.

Now, a donut isn't going to solve all of your problems in life. It's not going to fix your anxiety, cure your depression, or rescue you from career burnout... but it's certainly not going to hurt!

It's not the most pedestrian friendly area, but you can easily walk to the nearby Reign Coffee Company for an excellent coffee to enjoy with your donut. Alternatively, it's about a one-minute drive.
