I was exploring the Ari neighborhood in Bangkok, Thailand and stopped in at a local noodle shop for some delicious pork ribs served with egg noodles. The sign caught my eye and it looked so good that I had to try it!

I sat down in the small, air-conditioned shophouse restaurant and ordered the noodles. 100 baht is a little bit expensive for Thai noodles, but since they were served with a large portion of delicious pork ribs (5 of them!), I thought it was a fair and reasonable price.

The ribs had been braised in a rich and savory brown broth and were so soft and tender that the meat fell off of the bone when I picked them up with chopsticks.

The noodles soaked up all of the delicious juice and broth from the ribs and were topped with a small scoop of fried garlic for extra flavor.

The dish was served with an extra bowl of a spicy and sour vinegar-based sauce, which I really enjoyed, but give it a taste first because not everyone might like the sour flavors. Personally, I thought the sauce added a really nice brightness and complexity to the otherwise heavy and savory dish.

Highly recommended! I really enjoyed my lunch.
