American Breakfast
at Griff's Grill, China Spring (Waco), Texas
It is indeed the most important meal of the day, and in my opinion, there's no better way to start your morning than with an American diner-style breakfast.
Griff's Grill and Restaurant in China Spring, just outside of Waco, Texas, and I stopped in one morning for a wonderfully unhealthy and super delicious meal of classic southern-style American breakfast complete with eggs, bacon, hash browns, and biscuits topped with a warm, creamy, and peppery gravy.

The other breakfast dishes are awesome as well, especially Griff's sausage omelette, which is perfectly cooked, topped with gooey melted cheese, and served with a mild tomato salsa. It also comes with hash browns and a biscuit and gravy.
Griff's offers a classic selection of American breakfast goodness: stacks of pancakes dripping with maple syrup, hearty breakfast sandwiches, grits, bacon, chorizo, and more. You can customize your meal with the sides of your choice.

When you order at the counter, you will be given a ticket with your order number on it. Be sure to listen for the staff calling your number when your meal is ready! After eating, bus your own table and take the ticket to the front counter where an employee will ring you up to pay. The system is a bit quaint, but it works for a small local restaurant like Griff's.
To-go ordering is available as well.
